Can an AT&T Blackberry phone be unlocked and used on verizon?

Question by J-REY: Can an AT&T Blackberry phone be unlocked and used on verizon?
Specifically, is there anyway to use an AT&T Blackberry Bold 9000 on the Verizon network?

Is it a simple unlock that any cell phone repair shop can do?

I'm assuming it can't be done because Verizon uses CDMA technology.

Some links would be nice.

Thank you!

  1. No You cannot able to use the AT&T Blackberry Mobile in Blackberry Bold 9000 in Verizon Because that is CDMA…..Only GSM Network Sim card use in Unlocked Mobile Phone,.CDMA Won’t work with it…But AT&T Network Locked Mobile can be Unlocked..No need to go to store…You can get the Unlock code here http://www.wickedunlock.com/blackberry-bold-9000/rs11wp9/ and Unlock it….Verizon is CDMA Network, some Verizon May support GSM Network +CDMA Network that can be Unlocked….But after Unlock You cannot use Verizon Network Sim Card.

  2. No. Besides the fact that the phone is incompatible with Verizon, Verizon will ONLY activate Vwrizon-branded phones.
