HTC Hero Troubleshooting Steps

Having issues with Your HTC Hero?  Is your Sprint HT Hero acting up?  Need to clear the data on your Hero?

Here are some things you can do when your phone hangs, has problems running applications, or is operating slowly:

1.Check if there is enough free space on the phone to run the application.   To check free space, press HOME > MENU, and
then tap Settings > SD card & phone storage or Applications
.

2.Clear data and cache of applications.  To clear data and cache, press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings > SD card & phone storage or Applications > Manage applications.

3. Uninstall third-party applications.  To uninstall third-party applications, press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings > Applications > Manage applications.

4. If your phone is not responding to input, remove the battery, wait for 10 seconds, then reinsert the battery and turn on the phone.

5. Do a Master Reset on Your HTC Hero.  Backup important phone data and then reset the phone.  To reset the phone, press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings > Security > Factory data reset.

6. Check for updates and and other useful tips on the HTC website - www.htc.com.

How to Master Reset Motorola SLVR L7

Do you need to reset your SLVR L7 to the factory settings? Getting ready to cell your L7 and want to clear all personal data on it? Then a Master Reset is what you need.

1. From the standby screen, select Menu.
2. Select Settings
3. Select Initial Setup
4. Select Master Reset
5. Enter the security code, then select Yes to reset the device. Note: The default security code is 000000

Warning: This will delete everything on phone. Programs, ringtones, contacts and enything else you may have added.

How to Do a Master Reset on a T-mobile Dash

T-mobile Dash Master Reset
This is a quick how to for performing a Master Reset on your HTC 620 / 621 Dash / Excaclibur.

This is useful if your T-mobile Dash will not boot up properly.

1. Press and hold both soft keys.
2. While holding down the 2 soft keys, press and release the power button. It should power itself on in about 3-5 seconds after this step
3. Release the two soft keys that you have been pressing forever!
4. When the screen looks like it is at a DOS prompt or format, press the green answer key(the Send Button).

Give it it a try a few times if you are having issues with booting your phone.
