I just attempted to replace my screen. One problem I have is that I took one from a white macbook and put it into a black macbook. The two diverter cables on the white one are pink and yellow and the ones on the black macbook is black and grey, I do not know which ones are which. Also my back light is not working and i know for a fact it is not the inverter. I did disconnect all of the cables from the housing around the screen. Which wires do what maybe this will help me out.

Hello, I have a question that I really want answered.

Is it possible for me to replace a 13.3 inch macbook pro display with a 15.4 inch?

It isn’t possible for you to change a 13″ screen with a 15″ one.

my hard drive is dead, so I’m wondering what is the signs are that my computer is working.
just checking if its worth getting a new hard drive

  9. PowerbookMedic says:

Without a drive it’s hard to know what else failed on the machine. If the unit boots up to a blinking icon, then it means it is just looking for a hard drive, and likely everything else is fine..

I changed out a screen on a powerbook 17″ and the screen works but it’s very dark. I can barely see the log in?
