  3. teleqnet says:

well it’s more of an antique collectors piece. Most like this is going to be used as an extension and incoming only.

ohh yeah I know about that in the old days, but what about in modern times? same thing? will it just automatically call the operator?

  5. teleqnet says:

This is how phones worked in the olden days, basically think of it as the Taxi phones at the supermarkets. Those taxi phone have no keypad and when a customer pucks up the phone it automatically calls the Taxi company Dispatch.

When you pick up this phone it would ring only the operator and then you would tell the operator the number you want to call. The operator would then patch (connect) you to the party you are calling. Neat eh?

Hi Dennis I am a old phone lover myself. I have collected hundreds over the years. You could call out if you could operate that switchhook fast enough. Just like in silance of the lambs.

  7. coolbluelights says:

how do you make a call on that phone with no dial?

    Great work, Dennis
