What provider are you getting this device with? I have the phone with Sprint. The sprint version has a glitch that will delete all of your SMS, email, and call logs if the phone gets low on memory. Can be a very annoying glitch.

A few tips/workarounds for the Pearl. Since sprint disables sending picture mail on the device, you can workaround this by attaching the picture to an email and sending it to the other persons pic mail address (eg phonenumber@mmode.com for AT&T). The other person will receive it just like a normal pic mail.

An app that I would def recommend is Google maps. It is a very useful app and is free. Also, Opera mini is a great free web browser alternative to blackberry's browser. It has support for a lot of websites that blackberry's browser will not work on.

However, number 8 menu doesn't appear and therefore cannot be accesed. Is there anyway to access this menu? Any tricks?

I wouldn't try to mess with the codes or anything hidden. Last time I tried to reset a setting that was hidden. I locked myself out of the phone. And I had to take it to the dealer to have them fix it.

Question by Chris: Does anybody know about how long it takes Best Buy to repair your phone and ship it back to you?
My phone was messing up on me so i brought it to best buy because i have their insurance plan, and i had them send it off to get repaired.I was just curious if anyone knew about how long the whole process takes. The sales rep said 2 to 6 weeks but i have a feeling it could be longer. ANy feedback will be appreciated.

I worked in the Geek Squad for over a year, and I'd say average turnaround time for phones was about 3 weeks, but there were a few times when I saw it reach the 6 week point. Personally, I'd say if it goes over the month point, you have a good chance at requesting they just replace your phone with a new one if you want. Odds are better than not, if you're polite about it, they'd work with you. But usually it won't get to that point.

Nokia N95- Much Ado About Nothing!

The tremendous buzz captured all our attention, and as days neared by, the market waited anxiously for the launch of “the PC Killer” - Nokia N95. But when the mobile ultimately made its debut, a shade of disappointment adulterated the excitement, and many were found to thinking (sarcastically) “ O is that what computers have been made into!?” Indeed, Nokia N95 is enabled with good designing sense and ergonomics, but there is nothing extraordinary in the device that could compel you to forget your computer. After all have we not seen Blackberry and iMate try the trick before?

It would be more apt to call the Nokia N95 a contemporary lifestyle accessory, rather than a replacement for a computer. To begin with, unlike the computers, the Nokia N95 lacks a full fledged QWERTY keypad. This absence kills the feel and convenience of a PC at one go, and already makes many frown. Next in the line, is the disappointment of the much hyped GPS or global positioning system. i was leaving from my hous and so i put my phone and choco milk in my plastic bag and when i came home i found out that it spilled and it was in the bag with the liquid. flip it open and wait 1 week (yes the whole week) for it to dry, if it isn't dry and fully functional by the end of the week then RECYCLE it, DON'T throw it away since the cell phone contains chemicals that are dangerous to the environment.
