I have installed the Google Maps on my Sony Ericsson K850 and now wanted to get the java file which is extracted while installing this Google Map on my mobile. I don't have that java file as I have been installed that Google Map with the help of mobile phones GPRS facility on mobile phone. So, as online installation takes place I am not having that java file for future use. So, is there any way which will take backup of that java file, so that i can install it again if needed?

Hello, you can extract Google Maps java file from your Sony Ericsson K850 with the use of some tricks. You need to use the explorer for getting the system files. Then search for the hidden files and then make use of those hidden files for searching the jar file which is related to theGoogle Map . When you got this jar file, just save that to the directory which you want. And make use of that jar file further when you require it.

I don't think that it will be possible to extract any installation file from the mobile phone. As you have installed Google Map from the internet with the help of GPRS, you need to again download the same file with the help of internet. But, for this time you need to save that jar file on yourmobile phone, so that your can use it for your future use. So, just make use of internet for getting that jar file and save it.

I am also searching for the similar option which will help me to get the setup of the installed firmwares from my Sony Ericsson c902. I have searched on internet regarding this but don't get any solution. If anyone knows how to get the extracted applications files setup from the mobile then please give me that. If anyone give me solution then downloading all the setup files again can be avoided. Please help me.

I don't think that there would be any solution regarding this. You need to again download the same file from the internet and when it ask for the option such as save or install then select save option and you will able to get the setup file for your particular application. Then you can use that particular file whenever you want to run. So, there is no other way than downloading the same file again but choosing the save option. Make sure that you will able to save the file which is having the jar file extension not the jad extension.

Question by clm773311: AT&T and more specifically the Sony Ericsson Z750a, what do you think?
I have recently signed up with AT&T, which is pretty much my only option in this area, and got the Sony Ericsson Z750a for a phone and am having some problems with it.
I assumed that I could use the songs on the chip (M2) I bought with it as ringtones but it won't let me, does anyone know how to make it do that?
Also, I have songs on the chip now, but the card it goes in doesn't fit in my computer how can I add songs to it?
Another thing is the XM Radio on it is that included or does it cost extra?
I want the best phone I can get and would like to be able to use the songs as rigntones, any other phone suggestions? Any other tips?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for any info you can give me.

I have a Sony Ericsson W380i and it will not properly turn on. The screen glows and it vibrates as it normaly would when swiched on, and the keypad lights up but nothing else happens. The battery is fully charged and I cannot re-install the software for this phone because the phone will not connect to the computer. The warranty has also run out on it. Anyone got any tips???

Try taking the battery out and letting it sit for a bit. Clean all the contacts on the battery with a dry Q-tip as well.

You can contact customer care in your region and see if they have any out of warranty options for you.

the 580i is pretty good, if you can get used to the functionality. it's a little different than the usual. It is easier to transfer music from WMP to the phone than from I tunes. It is also not a 3G device. If you want a 3G phone try the samsung 737 slider. It's 3G and a lot simpler to operate. It can also play music as well.

Put the phone in a bag of rice and let it dry out overnight. Then when it still doesn't work, go and buy a new phone.

plug it into your computer using the USB cable that came with it and go on windows media player and sync select the music you want and drag it into the sync list then press start sync, but if your computer dosnt pick up your phone then you have to install the disk and use whatever converter comes with that, or plug in your phone open your phone in my conputer (should be something like this) Computer\Linchard\Memory Stick (TM)\Music

and open the folder were your music is and drag it into the "music" folder in your phone

You can get it for 29.99 if you sign a contract, and mail in rebate and all taht good stuff. My friend bought the Sony Ericsson and trust me its not worth it. The keys chip all the time. Idk one person with it that has the keys perfectly in place.

So, my sister's boyfriend bought a Sony Ericsson w850i about a year ago, and used it until April or so, but then for some reason he stopped using it.
Now, my cell phone is a piece of crap, honestly, so today my sister said I could have it, but she had forgotten why he didn't use it anymore, and I figured out that the mouth piece is broken. (I can hear people but they can't hear me)
Is this phone still under warranty if it is a year old, or is there a little trick someone knows on how to fix this.

If it's just a mouth piece try using a Bluetooth headset or a regular headset. It's about the same thing, since I'm assuming you're going to use it for music as well. Also you can take it to a cell phone store (best to go to a Chinese phone store) and they will replace it for you, it's around 25$ , Good luck.
