T-Mobile pulls Desire FroYo HTC Android 2.2 update

strange and inappropriate to mess around a phased renovation Desires HTC Android UK to continue to 2.2, the latest T-Mobile HTC upgrade the temporary withdrawal of Desire in the UK. The reason? It was sending the German version!
Multiple modifiers UK I noticed a few in German applications on their phones after installing weekend update 2.2 and it seems that T-Mobile is currently being implemented and pulled the release pending the arrival of non-German version of the office in the UK.

Apparently people from the German secret Android 2.2 update will be promoted to re-download FroYo upgrade once again when there is in English. We want to keep in Germany. Thanks Ken on the tech tip.

I accidentally dented my brand new Titanium Voyager today. There's one big dent on the lower left corner. I feel sad that it's no longer perfect.. is there any way I can send it somewhere to be fixed? Or am I better off selling it and getting a new one?

I have used my Blackberry charger on my Nokia bluetooth headset and it did burn it.

Taking apart your G1 is serious business so read this entire section. If you need to disassemble your G1 you have come to the right place. I would FIRST download AND READ the relevant parts of the manual (link below). Then look at some other videos and watch mine so you get a feel for the disassembly steps. Don't just start taking a torx to your beautiful G1. (If you don't know what "torx" means, close this video and think twice about doing anything to your G1. However, if your G1 is broken and you cannot make a warranty claim, then it's OK to look up the definition of "torx" and take an entire Saturday to attempt to fix the phone. You have to learn some time.) While disassembling I would follow along with this video on pause as you go through each step. (YouTube features includes the option of pausing where you want and viewing in full screen mode. This lets you see things in detail.) DO NOT SIMPLY START RIPPING IT APART WITHOUT FIRST SEEING HOW THE ENTIRE PROCESS IS DONE. Bonus: Below is the link (to my server) where you can download the complete tech service manual in PDF format. (Note the manual is over a year old, so don't play around with the software steps mentioned in it, they are horribly outdated and don't work since the OS was in beta at the time). This procedure will wipe your sidekick 2008 clean.  It will be set to factory default settings so do this only as a last resort.

1. Press @+1+0 at the same time

2. When the screen goes blank, press and hold the letter R

3. Keep the R button pressed down until the 4 symbols appear on the white background

4. Let go of the R button

5. The Sidekick 2008 will power cycle once more and then be done.

This procedure will completely wipe you sidekick clean. If you are at the point where you can’t get it to boot, then it doesn’t make much of  a difference.

Fix My Sidekick

Keep in mind, by “training the battery,” I mean recalibrating the battery meter of your Sidekick:

1. The initial charge out of the box is crucial. The instructions state you should charge the device 6-8 hours upon initial start up. People get so excited by getting the sidekick that they yank it off the charger 3-4 hours later so they can go show their friends!  This is a BIG mistake. Despite every urge to do so, let it charge at least 6 hours out the box.

2. For the next couple of days try and let your sidekick drain it’s battery completely before you charge it again.  When you charge it, make sure it charges 4-5 hours minimum before you take it off the charger. Leaving it plugged in overnight is usually the best option.

After a few days, you’ll begin to notice an improvement in your battery life.  The Sidekick now had a baseline for a fully charged battery and an empty battery.

Do this for 4 or 5 days and you will be set.

Here are some other tips to help get better battery life from your Sidekick:

1. Turn your LCD brightness down as low as you can tolerate.
2. Try and avoid being on all 3 IM clients at the same time for any extended period.
3. The music player is the second biggest battery drainer next to making phone calls. If you use the music player more than a few hours a day, you might want to consider a separate MP3 player. 
4.  Make sure to close out of the photo application when done. If you just “Jump” out, the device still keeps the camera rolling, draining more of the battery.  Make sure you “Done” out of the camera app to be sure.
5. When charging, keep the phone on a surface that allows it to dissipate the heat. A desk top or table is good.  On a pillow or a bed is bad! The hotter the battery gets over time, the less use you will be able to get out of it.

What if your Sidekick is not new and you want to get better battery life and this doesn’t help.  You can get a new battery for your phone and do this procedure.  New Sidekick batteries are about 10 dollars on eBay.  Don’t pay 40-60 dollars for a new one from T-mobile

As far as I can tell, there are no deals for a free Sidekick LX 2009. I will keep looking and keep you updated.
